Mark your calendar and book your motel for the funnest underwater photography event on the West Coast! From August 6-8, SCUBA divers from Seattle to San Diego will converge on Monterey, California to compete for top prizes in one of the most unique underwater photo competitions in the United States. This is a 24-hour competition open to all underwater photographers and videographers of all experience levels. All photos and videos must be taken in Monterey bay. A panel of judges, comprised of professional photographers, will select the winners on Sunday, August 8, with the winners being announced and prizes awarded on Sunday afternoon.

This year, we are offering over $20,000 in prizes, including gear and trips to exotic destinations. The event includes a hosted cocktail party, a catered dinner with featured presentation, educational seminars, and much more.

New this year

Boat Diving - From kayaks to yachts, entrants can now shoot the waters of the Monterey Peninsula aboard private and commercial watercraft.

Video! - Yes, there will be video categories again this year at the competition. Contestants will be able to submit unedited video clips up to 30 seconds in length.

With so few film shooters left in prior competitions, the decision was made last year to discontinue film categories. So only digital still and video entries will be accepted.
